The sustainable maintenance and conservation of Gouritsmond’s unique biodiverse region, marine life and community, are essential to ensure that residents and visitors enjoy living and relaxing in this environment. To achieve this goal, a non-profit company, Gouritsmond Community Projects, has been registered to raise funds to empower people and enable them to launch projects in areas such as palliative care (specialised medical care), sport and recreation, child development and education, and nature conservation. Projects that are initiated, support the Gouritsmond Ratepayers Association (GMBBV) in its objectives and actions.

This organisation is registered with the South African Revenue Service (SARS) as a Public Benefit Organisation and can therefore issue tax-deductible receipts (Section 18A) for donations.
